give windows 7 as an update to vista users, nobody will buy windows 7. they will buy vista for the cheaper price then just update it to get around the higher price of 7, thus skipping its purchase entirely but having vista and 7 at the same time. in short, it wont happen. 7 wont be an update through vista....unless they figure out when you started using vista, and if you had it before a certain date they would allow 7 though an update. i hope it goes like the latter personally.
